Living Wage due diligence under the CSDDD

This guidance sets out how companies can approach living wage due diligence under the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD). It covers identifying and assessing living wage risks, working with business partners to close gaps, and monitoring progress over time.
This guidance is the result of a collaborative process bringing together the European Commission's proposal, input from the ILO, WageIndicator Foundation, WBCSD, Shift, ISEAL, GIZ, and other technical experts, and extensive feedback from companies across the consultation process. This guidance builds on the UN Global Compact's Advancing Living Wages Forward Faster: Guidance for Supply Chain Implementation, and we encourage companies to use both resources together.
We are grateful to the European Commission for its ongoing engagement on the CSDDD, and to the many companies who took time to review and share feedback on earlier drafts. Their input has shaped this guidance and helped ensure it reflects the practical realities companies face in implementing living wage due diligence.
