Terms of Reference | Stichting IDH and AGRI3 Fund
Developing investment processes and tools & formalising the impact and environmental and social management system for the AGRI3 Fund
Stichting IDH (“IDH”) accelerates and up-scales sustainable trade by building impact-oriented coalitions of front running companies, civil society, governments, knowledge institutions and other stakeholders in several commodity sectors. Meanwhile, the AGRI3 Fund (the “Fund”) is a blended-finance impact vehicle that mobilises capital for sustainable land use, forest protection, and climate-smart agriculture. To enhance its ability to deliver and demonstrate impact, the Fund is supported by a Technical Assistance Facility (TAF), managed by IDH, which provides catalytic support to test innovative approaches, strengthen partner capacities, and refine tools that enable more consistent and credible impact delivery.
Building on several years of implementation experience, AGRI3 is entering a new phase of system strengthening to support the Fund’s expansion of PFIs and the consistent application of its impact ambition across its portfolio. To ensure responsible investment and maximise environmental and social outcomes, AGRI3 aims to build a risk-to-impact framework that links risk identification, due diligence, mitigation actions, and performance monitoring across the investment lifecycle with PFIs. To achieve this, the Fund has defined two mutually reinforcing Workstreams:
· Workstream 1 focuses on strengthening, consolidating, and elevating the Fund-level Impact and Environmental and Social Risk Management System (IESMS)
· Workstream 2 aims to support AGRI3’s PFIs in consistently implementing the Fund’s environmental and social risk management and impact ambitions across the broader portfolio
IDH and the Fund are therefore looking for a service provider to deliver this integrated assignment, bringing Workstream 1 and Workstream 2 together into a single, phased assignment to ensure coherence and system-wide strengthening across Fund- and PFI-level processes.
